Visiting Tulum Mayan Ruins is very popular because of it's unique location. Most Mayans preferred to live inland. It is built on the seaside and is known as the maritime capital of the Mayan world. When the Spanish arrived, they found it standing proudly upon a rocky ledge overlooking the Caribbean Sea. This gorgeous location, carefully chosen by its builders, makes it one of the most beautiful and visited sites in all of the Riviera Maya.
After visiting the ancient ruins, your personal guide will take you a nearby open cenote jungle pool for a swim! This is a nice way to cool off and enjoy the jungle life in the shade after visiting the ruins in the sun. When you are satisfied and ready to get back, he will return you to your hotel.
Discovering the Mayan Ruins is an adventure unto itself, but also a great idea for something different to do with the kids, to relax on a hot summer day, or as an alternative if the sea is too choppy for regular snorkeling!
Any adventurous person who has a curiosity about the Mayan Civilization.
